I started my disc golf journey just about 2 years ago. To this day, I still find my self in awe at the pure positive symbiotic nature of disc golf itself.
The non-invasive nature of the sport allows wildlife to flourish, all while the community supports each other; whether through friendly conversation, clearing a tee pad of snow/debris, or returning a lost disc to a fellow golfer.
Disc Golf also provides a great low physical impact exercise. This has helped me lose 20+ pounds to date since I've started. Partly because the sport is so much fun, I find myself hitting the course 2 to 4 times a week but also because the smooth movements don't wear down your joints or muscles as much as other sports.
To top it all off, many courses are dog friendly! My pup absolutely loves exploring the woods and spotting discs.
This sport has changed my life. It is amazing to watch such a positive passtime grow and flourish. Can't wait to see what the future holds!
